"CHAMOMILE AND CALENDULA WITH OATMEAL AND HONEY"....is a combination of gentle and moisturizing oils and butters carefully blended with some of nature's finest resources to help you in your fight against blemishes and acne. Chamomile and Calendula are both very well known for their anti inflammatory and antibacterial properties. Fresh steeped organic chamomile tea makes up part of my base recipe. Home grown calendula blossoms were steeped with the tea and also have been infused in the olive oil. Oatmeal is a great exfoliant and works wonderfully in combination with activated charcoal to help lift impurities that can clog pores and leave skin looking dull. Local honey is one of my favorite soap additives and is used liberally in many of my recipes. It has antibacterial properties, is a great antioxidant that rejuvenates leaving a radiant glow, and is a wonderful moisturizer that lends an incredible humectant to the lather. Goat milk was also used in this formulation. Goat milk has a high content of alpha hydroxy acids. These break down the bonds between dead skin cells allowing them to lift off to expose new healthy cells. Goat milk is another resource loaded with antibacterial properties. This is necessary to help slow down the growth of microbial organisms that can spread resulting in acne. The cream in the goat milk helps to moisturize and sooth dry skin. I've also added a bit of orange essential oil, long known for its abilities to help with acne and add radiance to dull skin. The fragrance of the orange essential oil rounds out the chamomile fragrance for a very relaxing and uplifting aroma. I highly recommend this soap if you are having issues with acne, irritated skin, or just want to keep already healthy skin looking it's best.

General info: My soaps are unique recipes that I have created. They are handcrafted in small batches using the old fashioned cold process method of saponification. I use only the highest quality ingredients available. I use a wide variety of oils based upon their attributes. My favorite oils are avocado, olive, and hemp oil. ( I do not use Palm oil in any of my recipes! ) I also love to incorporate cocoa butter, mango butter, and shea butter for their moisturizing properties. Natural additives including honey, buttermilk, clays, essential oils, and dairy products are added to certain recipes depending upon the purpose of the soap. Occasionally I will use fragrance oils and I clearly state that in my ingredients list. I use only natural colorants in my soaps. Natural coloring may come from mineral powders, herbs, oil infusions, clays, etc.. Rest assured my soaps are as natural as can possibly be!
I carefully choose and combine my ingredients and then the soap mixture is poured into my handcrafted wooden molds. Final touches such as designs, swirls, blossoms, etc are added and then the filled mold is put aside to set overnight. The soaps are unmolded the next morning and then they are hand cut into 1" thick bars. I use several different molds but generally each bar measures approximately 3.75" wide by about 2.50" tall. Some soaps will be much larger depending on design and composition but most soaps weigh approximately 4- 5.5 oz. Round shaving bars are poured in a 3" diameter mold and end up approximately 2.75" in diameter cut 1" thick. These usually end up weighing about 3.5 oz after curing. I also make kids soaps and pet soaps. These bars were designed to be easy for little hands to hold and are great when you need one hand on the soap and another on the baby or pet. They measure approximately 1"x2"x3" and weigh between 3-4 oz. These soaps are handcrafted so they will vary slightly in design from bar to bar and batch to batch.
After being cut into bars the next step is to set the bars aside on racks to allow them to cure for 4-6 weeks. During this time the soaps harden and moisture evaporates. This step is necessary so that you will receive a soap with proper ph that is hard and will last! All of the soaps listed in my shop have already undergone the curing process but if a custom order is made it will take 4-6 weeks before they are ready for use. I do not normally shave, plane, and/or polish my soaps as this creates a huge amount of waste and you would receive less soap for your money. Your soap will arrive shrink wrapped and labeled.

Please be sure to read the ingredient list for any known allergies.
Everyone's skin is different, please discontinue use if you develope any sensitivities.
Most of my soaps contain essential oils...I am generally heavy handed in my usage but please remember, as a general rule, essential oils do not have the strong fragrance that fragrance oils do.
If you are pregnant or breast feeding please check with your doctor about the use of soaps with essential oils in them.
Soaps tend to last much longer if left in a draining soap dish
Any decorative items (cinnamon sticks, mosses, star anise, etc) should be monitored and removed when they become loose so as not to go down your drains and create a clog.
These are handcrafted hand cut soaps, they will vary slightly in design and in weight. Usually the bars weigh within a few tenths of an ounce of each other.
